Towards Ecumenical Dialogue between African Pentecostalism and Roman Catholic

چکیده

There are undoubtedly differences between Roman Catholic and African Pentecostalism such as doctrinal issues salvific conceptualisations. Besides non-Catholics, specifically Pentecostal churches have always been perceived non-churches lacking the real salvation by Catholics. Thus, Catholics looked at Pentecostals with eye of suspicion regardless ecumenical efforts made to bring two together. Similarly, carrying a non-transformative doctrine, Spirit, leaning towards political institutions systems. Hence, relationship these movements has irreconcilable incompatible some leaders giving up on engagements. However, literature review reveals similarities through dialogue model. In other words, much do not see eye, they commonalities use sacramentals, common foundational beliefs, Jesus. These can be used starting point toward ecumenism helping move unity.
